I Must Pass This Test From Him
No one ever stays in your life for long. I did think it was possible, until I've finally reached my senses. A girl I know walked pass by, with a girl you wouldn't see her even smiling to two months ago. But now, they look happy. She, who went through shit with her social life, looks happy. We will always lose and gain people along the way in life. Your best friend when you were six, ever thought what happened to him or her now? The best best friend you have at the moment, will be just another human being to you 20 years from now.
Promises are sweet, but I now believe it's made to be broken. If you can't hold on to one person for long, what makes you think you can hold on to a promise?
It usually needs only one person to prove you wrong, and bring you down. I wonder, what is the use of the existence of the word sorry. People can easily say sorry, but that won't heal anything would it? Nor will it change anything. Not a hurt toe because it got throbbed by a stranger's heels. Not a wasted handbag because your drunk friend vomited all over it. And definitely not a broken heart. I don't see my heart getting sewed back whenever I hear a single sorry. Let alone a million. Say it over and over again, It still won't change anything.
I guess that's why wise people keep telling us to "savour the moment". It's because they know happy times with a person will eventually end. It sucks, how we can only blame life for working that way, seeing as there's nothing else we can do about it. If it involves two people, and the feeling is mutual then okay, you're lucky. But usually it's not. Because feelings fade, and people change.
